Finally, I went to the famous Levain Bakery @ 74th st. and Amsterdam Ave. I bought 5 cookies and when the lady handed the bag to me, I could not believe how heavy it was. It was probably about 5 lbs! All cookies were delish!!

Mrs. Field's Chocolate Chip Cookie

My son asked me to bake a giant chocolate chip cookie. I got the recipe from Hugry Monster


1 cup butter
1 cup sugar
1 cup brown sugar
2 eggs
2 cups flour
1 1/2 cups oatmeal pureed to flour
1/2 teaspoon salt
1 teaspoon baking powder
1 teaspoon baking soda
12 ounces chocolate chips
4 ounces grated chocolate bar (i forgot to add this =D)

Cream together, butter, sugars and eggs.

Add remaining ingredients. Mix all together into 1" balls. Press down on greased cookie sheet. Bake 350 degrees for 5 - 7 minutes.

My Own Version of Nestle Alpine White with Almonds

One of my favorite chocolate when I was a kid was Nestle Alpine White with Almond. Unfortunately, they don't make it anymore. Someone from a forum suggested to make it at home.




Since I am so craving for it, I bought a bag of almonds and Nestle white chocolate chips.

I melted the white chocolate chips in a double broiler.

Then I used a food processor for the almonds.

When the chocolate is fully melted add the almonds. Put it on a mold.

Oh my! After I ate it, it kinda hit the spot. So delicious!!

Sesame Place

Last weekend we went to Sesame Place at PA. It's Brianna's first time and third time for Miguel.

As soon as she entered the store, she was so amazed on how many elmo stuffs she saw.

We wanted Brianna to join us but she wasn't allowed. Also, the water so cold!

She didn't want to leave the truck.

Miguel played basketball and made enough shots to win.....

.....and this was his price but he gave to his sister. You can tell she's so happy.

While waiting for the parade, they were handing out tattoos for kids. Brianna got one =)
